So when the plastic mount failed, we went ahead and replaced it with an expensive metal one. Hopefully Franke has stopped selling the cheap plastic version, but people stuck with these may experience a leak or worse when they go to replace the filter. Make sure you follow the instructions for conditioning and letting it sit for 24 hours before use. Having done it wrong in the past, it makes a big difference to condition it correctly.
