GE GXRLQR Twist and Lock In-Line Refrigerator/Icemaker Replacement Filter Reviews
5 of 6 people found the following review helpful Good Filter/Poor Packing In Shipping, By Update 12/09: We also use this filter in our primary home for the water line supplying the refrigerator. This house has a very different water issue: hard water. We previously used a Brita filter/pitcher for making coffee/tea because it stopped hard water deposits from forming in our pot. But that system was so slow & took space in the refrigerator so we switched to this filter. Unfortunately, it does not remove the hard water/lime. So the pot has to be "delimed" regularly. Found none of them work, either got no water from water dispenser or just like leaking and dripping. Beware of waterfilter.net return policy, if you peal off the seal on the filter, they won't allow to return and also 15% restocking fee if over 10 days.Ended up to buy from local Sears store to replace. Total waste of money on the garbage products. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful A waste of money, By Amazon Verified Purchase The GE SmartWater Refrigerator Water Filter is supposed to replace the filter for my system whose filter is no longer being manufactured by GE. After installing the filter the dispenser water stream became a dribble. The dispenser can no longer be used because the water simply dribbles out of the spout. I have to now purchase a totally new filter system. It will not be a GE system. |
