It starts filtering very slowly but after you break it in (4-5) fill ups it works very quickly. The water is very good after the Zen filters it. I would recommend this water filter system without hesitation. I followed all setup instructions and had no issues. I did not really need the assembly instructions, as it was clear enough to me from the picture as to how the unit should go together. My only adjustment after the first run was to tighten the faucet nut with a wrench instead of just my fingers. If you use a wrench, ensure you don't apply too much force and crack the plastic basin!We have just moved from a house with a Nikken in-sink filter which cost over $800 and i can honestly say I like the taste of the water this unit makes better! The unit is not too quick but it is on par with other gravity fed units like Pur, Brita, etc. However the water it outputs is much better tasting! No complaints but I would love to see a deluxe glass and metal version with heavier grade components and a higher flow metal faucet. An in-line under-sink...
