So much sediment that we have to remove the factory installed screen on our clothes washer twice each time we wash a load of clothes. This is essentially a larger screen (trap), but more accessible and with a fibrous material included (filter). It might be a bit too restrictive for my needs. The washing machine screen would clog frequently, so I decided to try and pre-filter. This unit worked great for a month or so, but the fibrous screen clogged as well. I disassembled the unit and pulled the fiber screen out, leaving just the metal screen, so hoping I can now get several months before clogging.If I recall, the info for the product does not mention a fiber screen, thus this review. Just be aware of it - it may not be an issue for you, and if all you want to do is trap occasional flecks of metal etc this will probably work fine for you. David |
