When I put my last filter in the machine I automatically order another box. This time the experience was easy and quick, requiring practically no effort on my part -- so much easier that locating a retail store and making a trip. Something has definitely changed. The normal ones are charcoal and you soak them and they are very pliable. These are odd. First, the seal on the box was broken. Second, there is no charcoal in these at all. There are some gold colored crystals that become hard in water. Nothing I would want my water going through. Something is off here - so beware buying from anyone else other than Amazon. Also note the seller Carolina Gifts and Collectibles does not stand by their product - do not buy.
